abgesang europa

gadgets. geschichte nunmehr hinter glas, geschmeidig
animiert: verdun in 3d., touchscreen theresienstadt, gulags

europe requiem

animals are roaming the cities once again, humans
are lying on squares, wounded, purulent, a special
bargain today, the martens, foxes and the flee
infested cats would be stupid not to grab some, bite
some, its not the animals fault, animals are never
to blame they are amoral. somethings been loaded
into an ambulance, that has lost almost all of its colors,
athens, twotousendfuckit, europe is convulsing, after
an economically happy expansion, like a slug that was
doused in formic acid, some gluey slime at its
borders, in which outsiders get stuck, watched by
cameras, by interested underpaid journalists, collecting
data like entomologists fuck you, southerners, and you,
go to russia, go to eastern europe, we were never
prepared to share what we snatched for centuries, what
did you think? a mother is looking for her children
in the garbage, they also didnt find anything useful
except maybe death she thinks and smears herself a
drug or is it glue into her gums. what did you think?
it was in greece where the noble idea of democracy
was born on the backs and in wombs of slaves, from
an elite, not even twenty percent of the population,
a cozy club of men that gave a shit but believed
in universal power and ideas. europe, a sentiment
of apartheid and today we pay the price, comrades,
buckle up for another ride to hell, luckily we have
all these great inventions: gun powder, barbed wire,
the various instruments of torture, steel, well tested
in all the colonies maybe europe was never
anything else than bloodthirsty powers subjecting
far away worlds, to then, in twotousendfuckit, keep
up some far away slaveries. it all went well until
the slaves got on their feet, digital knowledge, and
they thought, yes, europe is not only a word, not
only a thought, no, you can actually go there and
try your luck, but europe is old, luck ran out and
was distributed a long time ago. luxury problems
accumulate and catastrophes hide well under
the caresses of our gadgets. history from
now on only behind glass, smoothly animated:
verdun in 3d, touchscreen theresienstadt, gulags
as backgrounds for egoshooters, as if the past is
solely a petting zoo and as if there is no way back.
shots are fired in the evenings, there is no water
in the mornings now, in the afternoons there are
drones flying over fields where the dead cows lie,
what we thought civilization is, was doubted out
of boredom and then burnt on a stake with other
ideas, festering, and the thin skin split open.
now we live in scars that do not want to heal.
